Helios 2024: A Spectacular Cultural Fest at Gopalan International School

Gopalan International School hosted its annual cultural fest, Helios 2024,on 1st and 2nd of August, 2024, drawing students and faculty from different schools into a vibrant celebration of talent and creativity. Mr Anoop George, a renowned architect and parent of GIS student, presided as the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony and encouraged the students to participate with diligence and patience.

The event featured an impressive lineup of activities, including debate, escape room, solo singing, dance performances, logo making, tribal art, a Shark Tank-inspired competition, an auction, a robotics display, photography, Haiku, skits, charades, battle of the bands, a fashion show, face painting, and mask making. For the first time ever in the history of Helios, Robotics event was added.

Participants dazzled the audience with their skills and innovation across all events. The debate showcased sharp intellect and articulate arguments, while the escape room challenged participants' problem-solving abilities. Solo singing and dance performances were met with enthusiastic applause, highlighting the artistic talents of the students. Creative competitions like logo making, tribal art, and mask making displayed incredible imagination and craftsmanship.

The Shark Tank-inspired competition and the event Auction was particularly thrilling, with students presenting innovative ideas and showcasing entrepreneurial spirit. The robotics display attracted tech enthusiasts, featuring cutting-edge projects developed by the students.

Photography captured the essence of the fest, while Haiku provided a poetic touch. Skits and charades entertained the audience with humor and drama. The battle of the bands had the crowd cheering for their favorite groups, and the fashion show brought a touch of glamour to the event.

Face painting and mask making added a colorful and artistic dimension to the fest, leaving attendees in awe of the students' creativity. The overall championship was bagged by New Horizon Public School.
